50-Year-Old Man Killed After Being Hit by Vehicle in Bijbehara, Anantnag

Anantnag, August 1: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 50-year-old corn seller in the Hamzapora Semthan area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.

Officials said that the victim, identified as Farooq Ahmad Dar (50), son of Ghulam Rasool Dar, a resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara, was hit by an unknown vehicle while he was on the roadside.

The impact left him critically injured, and he was immediately rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara. However, doctors at the facility declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to trace the vehicle and ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
