ACB Traps and Arrests Patwari Red-Handed While Accepting Bribe in Kulgam

Kulgam, July 21: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught a Patwari red-handed while accepting a bribe in the Patwari Halqa Banimulla area, under Tehsil Pahloo of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

An ACB official confirmed that the accused, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Khatana, son of Mohammad Ayoob Khatana, a resident of Kund, was apprehended by ACB sleuths during a trap operation.

The trap was laid following a complaint alleging demand for a bribe in exchange for official work. Acting swiftly, the ACB team arrested the Patwari on the spot while he was accepting the bribe.

Further investigations into the case are underway.
