Anantnag, July 14, 2025:

In a proactive step to bolster security arrangements for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Anantnag Police on Monday carried out a comprehensive mock drill along key stretches of the Yatra route.

The mock exercise was held at various strategically important locations to assess the readiness and coordination among different security forces involved in Yatra duties. The simulation included responses to potential threats, emergency evacuation scenarios, and effective crowd management techniques.

Senior officers from Anantnag Police oversaw the drill to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Special emphasis was given to high-density areas along the route, aiming to test the agility and response time of deployed personnel, including Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs).

The exercise was conducted smoothly without disrupting the movement of pilgrims or local commuters. Authorities expressed gratitude towards the public and the Yatris for their cooperation during the drill.

An official spokesperson stated that such drills are part of routine preparedness efforts to strengthen operational capabilities and maintain a secure environment for pilgrims.

Anantnag Police reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to ensuring the peaceful and incident-free conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.
