Kulgam, July 28:In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, Kulgam Police, under the leadership of SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal (IPS), have attached another property belonging to a known drug peddler under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The property belongs to Mushtaq Ahmad Bagow, son of Late Wali Mohammad Bagow, a resident of Redwani Payeen. He is involved in two NDPS cases registered at Police Station Qaimoh—FIR No. 62/2021 under Sections 8/15-29 and FIR No. 43/2024 under Sections 8/15-21 of the NDPS Act.

Acting under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, proceedings were initiated by the competent authority to attach property believed to have been acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking. As a result, a single-storey residential building measuring 1,041 square feet, along with 20 marlas of land located at Ghat Redwani Payeen under Survey No. 867, with an estimated market value of ₹19,89,536, has been attached.

This action highlights the commitment of Kulgam Police to dismantle the drug trade ecosystem by not only prosecuting the accused but also striking at the financial assets generated through illegal activities.
