Kulgam, July 5: Cabinet Minister for Health and Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare, Sakina Masood today visited Imam Bara at Shahoo Sachan Devsar in Kulgam district to review and assess the arrangements being made for the upcoming Muharram-ul-Haram.
During the visit, the Minister took a detailed stock of the facilities and preparations undertaken by various departments to ensure smooth and peaceful observance of the holy month. She emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among departments to address the needs of the mourners, particularly in areas of health care, sanitation, power, water supply, and security.
Sakina Masood was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kulgam, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Shaukat Hussain Parray, and other senior officers of the district administration.
The Minister issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers to plug any existing gaps and ensure that all arrangements are completed well in advance. She also interacted with locals and community representatives, assuring them of full government support for a peaceful and safe Muharram.
The visit reflects the administration’s commitment to uphold religious harmony and ensure that all necessary civic and logistical support is extended during the holy days.
