Civilian Killed in Pakistani Shelling in Kheeri, Jammu

Jammu, May 10: Tension escalated along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday morning after a civilian was killed in cross-border shelling by Pakistani forces in the Kheeri area of Jammu.

According to official sources, the victim has been identified as Kaku Juggar, 53, a resident of Rapair Kheeri. He reportedly succumbed to injuries sustained from shell fragments during the unprovoked shelling.

Local authorities confirmed the incident and said security forces have been put on high alert. “We urge all residents in vulnerable areas to remain indoors and strictly adhere to safety protocols,” a senior official stated.
