Kulgam, May 16:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), who also serves as the Chairman of the District Level Committee (DLC), chaired a key meeting on Friday to review progress on land conversion applications across the district.
During the meeting, 10 cases seeking change of land use were presented before the Committee. After thorough examination, 8 cases were approved while 2 were rejected as per the established norms and regulations.
The DC took a detailed review of the status of applications received, the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and the follow-up actions by the concerned departments. He emphasized the importance of adhering to timelines and directed all concerned departments to ensure timely issuance of NOCs after proper verification of relevant documents and compliance with rules governing land conversion.
The meeting saw participation from Additional Deputy Commissioner Reyaz Ahmad Shah, Functional Manager DIC, DFO, CEO, and Executive Engineers from NH-444, Jal Shakti, KPDCL, R&B, PMGSY, Irrigation and Flood Control. Also present were the Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO), Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO), Tehsildars from Kulgam, Devsar, and Quimoh, Tehsildar Headquarters, Executive Officers from Municipal Committees of Kulgam and Devsar, District Officer PCC Kulgam, and other officials.
The DC reiterated the commitment of the administration to a transparent and efficient process for land use change in the district.
