KULGAM, MAY 24: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), convened a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district.

The meeting was attended by officers from various line departments and representatives from banking institutions. Discussions centered on multiple components of HADP, including the establishment of seed processing units, promotion of bee rearing, precision farming techniques, value addition processes, and farm mechanization — all aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and efficiency in the region.

During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of the performance metrics, case sanctioning status, and disbursement progress under HADP. Departments were directed to accelerate outreach efforts and ensure that every farmer and farming family in the district is covered under the scheme.

Emphasizing timely follow-ups, the DC instructed departments to monitor each applicant’s case individually to maintain momentum in scheme implementation. Bankers were directed to ensure seamless credit linkage for all eligible applicants under HADP, regardless of their financial background.

The meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO), District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO), Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), District Horticulture Officer (DHO), Assistant Director Fisheries, and officials from Handicrafts, Handloom, District Industries Centre (DIC), Lead District Manager (LDM), among others.
