DC Kulgam Reviews Progress on Sakharsan Qaimoh Bridge, Urges Engineers for Early Completion

KULGAM, May 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), today conducted an extensive visit to Qaimoh Tehsil to review the ongoing developmental works in the region, with a key focus on the construction of the Sakharsan Bridge at Kawaki Bazar.


The bridge, a vital infrastructure project comprising a 1×33 span, is expected to significantly improve connectivity for the local population upon completion. During the inspection, the DC assessed the current pace of work and resolved several local issues on the spot that were hindering progress.


Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, DC Khan urged the engineers and executing agencies to accelerate the pace of construction while strictly adhering to quality standards. He highlighted the bridge's potential to ease transportation challenges and enhance socio-economic development in the area.


While interacting with the on-site engineers and officials, the DC directed that the project must be completed within the stipulated timeline to ensure public convenience.


He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Viqar Ahmed Giri, ACR Reyaz Ahmad Shah, Executive Engineer R&B Shabir Ah Tak, Tehsildar, and other district officers during the visit.
