Kulgam, May 13: In a continued effort to strengthen the education sector, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), today visited Altaf Memorial Government Degree College Kilam and Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kilam to assess the overall functioning of the institutions.
During the visit, the DC reviewed the existing infrastructure, academic atmosphere, and staff availability at both institutions. He conducted interactive sessions with students to understand their academic needs, aspirations, and the challenges they face.
Underscoring the significance of quality education, DC Athar Aamir Khan emphasized the administration’s commitment to improving educational standards across the district. He urged the teaching staff to uphold high academic standards and work collectively for the holistic development of students.
He also encouraged students to make optimal use of available facilities, resources, and time to build a bright and successful future.
Students took the opportunity to share their concerns and presented several demands to enhance the quality of education and improve institutional facilities.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Viqar Ahmad Giri, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Riyaz Ahmad Shah, Tehsildar, Chief Education Officer, and other concerned officials.
