Kulgam, May 21: In a significant move aimed at strengthening the educational ecosystem, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), visited Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Qaimoh on Tuesday as part of an outreach programme. The visit focused on engaging with students and staff while assessing recent digital and academic advancements at the institution.

During the visit, the DC interacted with students, reviewed their academic progress, and held discussions on initiatives geared towards enhancing digital education. He also inspected the infrastructure and facilities available at the school.

Marking a milestone in the school's development, the DC inaugurated an e-library, an e-magazine, and launched the Noordin Drug De-addiction Trophy, promoting both digital literacy and awareness against substance abuse.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Athar Aamir Khan praised the school’s strides in integrating technology into education. “GHSS Qaimoh is poised to become a pioneering institution in the district owing to its forward-looking digital initiatives,” he remarked.

Earlier, Dr. Sajad Mir, Principal of GHSS Qaimoh, extended a warm welcome and expressed gratitude to the district administration for its unwavering support in implementing transformative educational reforms.

It is notable that GHSS Qaimoh has emerged as the first school in the district to achieve excellence in online learning.

The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Viqar Ahmed Giri, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Shah, Tehsildar Qaimoh, ZEO, and other senior officers.
