Kulgam, July 7: District Development Council (DDC) Member Ibrahim has extended heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the residents of Shahoo, Sachen, Wangam, and adjoining areas for the exceptional arrangements made during the sacred days of Muharram.
In a statement, Ibrahim acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of Hon’ble Health & Medical Education Minister Ms. Sakeena Itoo, Director Health Services Kashmir Dr. Jahangir Bakshi, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Mr. Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kulgam Dr. Shaukat Hussain for ensuring comprehensive healthcare and emergency services throughout the 10-day observance period.
“From the start of Muharram till its conclusion, the administration maintained high alert to provide uninterrupted medical support and services,” Ibrahim noted. “The presence and proactive involvement of senior officials greatly reassured the public and ensured a peaceful atmosphere.”
Particular praise was directed toward CMO Kulgam, Dr. Shaukat Hussain Parray, for his hands-on approach. “We have never seen a CMO like Dr. Shaukat Hussain Parray who personally visited our area consistently throughout Muharram,” said one local resident.
The community lauded the coordinated efforts, timely response, and sensitivity shown by the administration, which played a pivotal role in facilitating smooth and respectful Muharram processions and gatherings across the region.
