KULGAM, MAY 23: In a significant step towards strengthening integrated development efforts, the District Administration Kulgam today organized a day-long Capacity Building Programme centered on Holistic Development and Convergence. The programme was held at the new conference hall of the Mini-Secretariat in Kulgam.

The inaugural session was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), who highlighted the importance of convergence and collaborative governance in accelerating grassroots development.

The comprehensive programme featured a series of technical sessions and tabletop exercises, focusing on key themes such as convergent planning, saturation approach, public-private partnerships, the role of PRIs, inclusion, digitization, and the strategic use of Information Technology as a development multiplier.

The event witnessed active participation from officers across various tiers — district, block, and field levels — representing departments including Revenue, Rural Development, Roads and Buildings, Public Health Engineering, Social Welfare, Education, Health, Industries, KVIB, KVIC, ICDS, and Youth Services and Sports, among others.

Officials informed that the training was designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement holistic and integrated development strategies across sectors in the district, fostering synergy and sustainable progress.

The initiative reflects the district administration's commitment to capacity enhancement and collaborative action for impactful governance.
