KULGAM, JUNE 11:

In a major push towards ensuring the last-mile delivery of welfare schemes and government services in tribal areas, the District Administration Kulgam is set to launch an Intensive IEC (Information, Education & Communication) Campaign under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) from June 15 to June 30, 2025.

To review preparations and finalize arrangements for the campaign, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), chaired a high-level meeting today at the DC Office Complex. The meeting witnessed the participation of senior officers including Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Riyaz Ahmad Shah, Joint Director Planning Zahid Sajad, and other concerned officials.

DC Athar Aamir emphasized that the primary goal of the campaign is to achieve 100% saturation of all government schemes and beneficiary-oriented programmes in the tribal villages of the district. He underscored the importance of intensified outreach efforts and seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure effective implementation.

Highlighting the campaign’s objective of uplifting tribal communities and ensuring their inclusive socio-economic development, the DC directed all line departments to actively participate and organize IEC cum Beneficiary Saturation Camps across tribal areas.

The campaign will focus on awareness generation, on-the-spot service delivery, and identification of left-out beneficiaries to ensure that no eligible individual remains deprived of government benefits.

The District Administration has expressed strong commitment to the success of this initiative under DAJGUA, aligning with broader goals of tribal empowerment and inclusive governance.
