Kulgam, July 8: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah today presided over a workers convention of Kulgam Constituency held at Chawalgam, Kulgam.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from party cadres, functionaries, and local leadership. On the occasion, Dr Farooq Abdullah offered Fateha for former MLA Kulgam, Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Dar, on his 19th death anniversary. Dar is remembered for his dedication and service to the people of Kulgam.
The convention was organized by NC State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, the son of the late Ghulam Nabi Dar. Addressing the gathering, Dr Abdullah urged the workers to remain steadfast in upholding the party's values and to strengthen the grassroots connect with the people.
Among the prominent leaders present were Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo, Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani, Provincial President Showkat Mir, Hon’ble MLAs Ab Majeed Bhat Larmi, Showkat Hussain Ganaie, and Peerzada Faroz. Also present were Provincial Secretary Syed Tauqeer, District President Safdar Khan, District President Women’s Wing Sakina Ji, and YNC South Zone President Feroz Wani, besides various senior party and YNC functionaries.
The convention served as a platform to discuss key organizational matters and the current political scenario in the region.
