*01 DRUG PEDDLER NABBED WITH APPROX. 9.55 GRAMS OF HEROIN (CHITTA) LIKE NARCOTICS BY POLICE TEAM OF P/S HIRANAGAR; 01 MOTORBIKE SEIZED*

KATHUA; 18 MAY ; Continuing its efforts against drug menace, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena -IPS* today recovered approx. 9.55 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics near Shamshan Ghat area of P/S Hiranagar, 01 drug peddler arrested and seized one motorbike involved. 

On 17-05-2025, acting on the intelligent input received through a reliable source, a Police team of P/S Hiranagar under the guidance of SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Katoch & SHO PS Hiranagar Insp. Ashish Sharma laid down a special naka/ checking in its jurisdictional area near Shamshan Ghat Hiranagar and apprehended one person namely 1. Rana Mohd S/o Kaju R/o Manyari Rajbagh Tehsil Hiranagar enrouted on Motorbike without any Reg. No. who was having 9.55 grams of heroin like substance in his possession.

Thereafter the recovered narcotics alongwith said Motorbile was seized and the accused person was taken into police custody on spot. In this connection, a case under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Hiranagar and further investigation is undeway.
