Encounter Breaks Out in Kishtwar: Army

Jammu, Aug 10: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Dul area of Kishtwar district in the early hours of Sunday.

In a post on X, the Army’s WhiteKnight Corps said, “Alert Indian Army troops, while carrying out an intelligence-based operation, established contact with terrorists in the general area of Dul in Kishtwar in the early hours of 10 Aug 2025. Gunfire exchanged. Operation under progress.”

Official sources told that two militants are believed to be trapped in the area. Security forces have cordoned off the site, and intermittent firing is underway.
