Farooq Memorial Cricket Tournament Kicks Off at Nahama Stadium, Kulgam

Kulgam, April 29: The Farooq Ahmad Bhat Memorial Cricket Tournament commenced with great enthusiasm at the Sports Stadium Nahama in Kulgam, bringing together 64 teams from across the region.

The tournament was officially inaugurated by SDM Noorabad, Basheer-ul-Hassan, who attended the ceremony as the chief guest. He was joined by SDPO Kulgam and ACD Kulgam Syed Naseer Ahmad, along with other senior officials and representatives from the sports department.

Organized by the Nahama Cricket Organization, the tournament is held in honor of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a dedicated Jammu & Kashmir Police officer who was martyred in the line of duty several years ago. The matches will be played in a knockout format, promising competitive cricket and a vibrant display of local talent.
