Kulgam, July 10: In a vibrant display of sportsmanship and youth empowerment, the 18 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Kulgam, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025, organized a Girls Volleyball Tournament in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Kulgam.
The tournament aimed to promote sports among girls and strengthen community engagement. Eight teams from various schools across the district participated, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
The event was held under the supervision of Second-in-Command Shri Mahesh Choudhary of the 18 BN CRPF.
Muneeb Ahmad Zargar, Secretary of the Youth National Conference South Kashmir, attended the tournament as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Dr. Mohd Akbar from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Kulgam.
Addressing the participants and spectators, Zargar commended the 18 BN CRPF for their commitment to youth development through sports. He emphasized that such initiatives not only encourage physical fitness and leadership among girls but also play a crucial role in steering the younger generation away from the menace of drug abuse.
The tournament concluded with a message of unity, discipline, and empowerment, earning praise from participants and the community alike.
