Baramulla, July 18:In a move aimed at ensuring smooth and uninterrupted patient care, the Office of the Medical Superintendent, Associated Hospital GMC Baramulla, has issued a strict order regulating the entry of Medical Representatives (MRs) within hospital premises.

The directive, issued on July 18, comes after it was observed that Medical Representatives from pharmaceutical and medical companies frequently visit Out-Patient Departments (OPDs), wards, and other hospital sections during regular working hours, causing disturbances and interruptions in patient consultations and routine healthcare delivery.

To address this issue, the hospital administration has ordered that no Medical Representative shall be allowed to visit any doctor or hospital section before 3:30 PM on any working day. Violators entering hospital areas before the stipulated time may face strict action, including permanent debarment.

Furthermore, any doctor or hospital staff member found entertaining MRs before the allowed time will be held accountable and face disciplinary action.

The order also directs all Heads of Departments and Section Incharges to ensure strict implementation within their respective domains. Security staff and gate personnel have been instructed to enforce these guidelines and maintain a record of all visiting MRs, including their visit time and purpose.
