Government issues major Bureaucratic Reshuffle, Transfer 58 IAS IPS Officers

Srinagar May 16 2025  The Government of India has issued a significant order transferring and posting 49 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 9 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across various states and union territories. The order, dated May 2025, was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and is effective immediately.


The transfers and postings are part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle, aimed at optimizing administrative efficiency and addressing the needs of different regions. The affected officers are from various cadres, including Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, and others.

- Pushpendra Kumar (2006) from Delhi to Chandigarh

- Umesh Kumar (2009) from Jammu & Kashmir to Delhi

- Ashok Malik (2006) from Delhi to Mizoram

- Sameer Sharma (2011) from Lakshadweep to Jammu & Kashmir


The order is signed by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, and has been circulated to various government departments and officials. The transfers are expected to take effect immediately
