Handwara, May 5, 2025:
In an effort to enhance operational readiness and inter-agency coordination, Handwara Police today conducted a law and order demonstration drill at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara. The drill was aimed at assessing the preparedness and efficiency of the security forces in dealing with potential law and order situations in the region.
The demonstration was carried out jointly by Handwara Police and personnel of the 92 Bn (CRPF). The exercise simulated various real-time scenarios involving crowd control, dispersal of unlawful assemblies, riot management, and coordinated response protocols under emergency conditions.
The drill was supervised and monitored by SSP Handwara, Shri Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhury (JKPS), who appreciated the professionalism and synergy displayed by the participating forces. He emphasized the importance of such drills in strengthening the capabilities of the police and paramilitary forces to maintain peace, stability, and public safety.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Handwara stated, Conducting regular drills of this nature is crucial to ensuring our personnel remain vigilant and well-prepared to tackle any law and order challenge. The event concluded with a debriefing session, during which observations were shared and best practices discussed to further improve future response strategies.
