Inter School Zonal Level Competitions Held Successfully Across Kulgam

Kulgam, May 28: A wave of sporting enthusiasm swept across Kulgam as Inter School Zonal Level competitions were held successfully in multiple zones, showcasing the athletic talent and team spirit of students from various government and private institutions.


In Zone Qaimoh, the Zonal Physical Education Office organized Volleyball tournaments for U/14 and U/17 boys at Indoor Stadium Khudwani. A large number of students participated with zeal, fully dressed in sports uniforms. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Hameed Shan Sab, Zonal Physical Education Officer Qaimoh, and saw smooth conduct of matches under standard rules. Select players were chosen for the upcoming Inter-Zone District level events.


In Zone Yaripora, an exciting Handball Tournament for U/14 and U/17 boys was hosted at BHSS Yaripora. The event, inaugurated by the Principal of the host school, witnessed over 56 participants competing fiercely while displaying excellent sportsmanship.


Zone Devsar saw an impressive turnout of over 140 girls from different schools in a Volleyball competition for U/14 and U/17 categories. The event was supervised by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kulgam, and conducted by the zonal office with great discipline and enthusiasm.


Similarly, Zone H.C.Gam hosted a Baseball tournament for U/14 and U/17 girls with participation from more than 80 students. Organized efficiently by the Zonal Physical Education Office H.C.Gam, the event highlighted the growing interest of girls in diverse sports.


The successful completion of these tournaments marks a significant step in promoting youth sports and identifying talent for higher-level competitions in the district.
