Inter-School Volleyball Tournament Concludes Successfully in Kulgam; GHSS Yaripora Emerges Victorious

Kulgam, June 9: The District Level Inter-School Volleyball Tournament for boys, organized by the Youth Services and Sports Department Kulgam, concluded with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit at Sports Stadium Kulgam.

Teams from all higher secondary schools of the district's six education zones—Damhal Hanjipora, Kulgam, Yaripora, Qaimoh, Devsar, and H.C. Gam—participated in the event. More than 200 young players showcased their talent and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

In a thrilling final match, Government Higher Secondary School Yaripora from Zone Yaripora clinched the championship title by defeating Government Higher Secondary School Danow Beohgund of Zone Qaimoh.

Lecturer Mr. Rizwan and Zonal Physical Education Officer Mr. Fayyaz Ahmed interacted with the players during the event and assured them of continued support and facilities for both academic and sports excellence.

The tournament was convened by Mr. Ashiq Ahmed, who highlighted the importance of such events in promoting physical fitness and team spirit among students. The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where trophies and medals were awarded to the winners and participants.
