Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Meets Union Law Minister in Srinagar

Srinagar– A prominent delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association and the Kashmir Advocate's Association, headed by President Advocate Waseem Gul, met with the Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, in Srinagar today. The meeting focused on significant issues concerning the welfare of lawyers and the continued development of the legal system in Jammu and Kashmir.


During the discussion, the Association raised pressing concerns regarding the need for improved infrastructure for legal professionals, better access to crucial resources, and the introduction of initiatives such as stipends and pensions to support the professional advancement of advocates. The delegation stressed the importance of resolving the challenges faced by the legal community to ensure a more efficient and fair judicial system.


Union Law Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal expressed his appreciation for the contributions of lawyers in upholding justice. He assured the Bar Association of the Central Government’s unwavering support and commitment to addressing their concerns and strengthening the region's legal framework.
