Srinagar, June 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has issued a stern advisory ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, warning individuals against sharing photos or videos of sacrificial animals on social media platforms.
The Chairperson of the Board highlighted that posting such content online will attract disciplinary measures, citing concerns about public sensitivity and maintaining communal harmony during the festival.
In addition, the Board has strictly prohibited the dumping of sacrificial remains and animal waste on public roads or in open areas. Authorities have also urged citizens to follow proper disposal protocols to ensure cleanliness and public hygiene during the festive period.
The Waqf Board has further stated that these measures are aimed at preserving the sanctity of Eid-ul-Adha while respecting the sentiments of all communities.
Officials have appealed to the public to celebrate responsibly and cooperate with the guidelines to maintain order and cleanliness across the region.
