Local Residents of Chattabal Kulgam Appeal for Urgent Road Repairs After PHE Pipe Leakage

Residents of Chattabal area in Kulgam district have urged the distr tict administration and concerned departments to take immediate steps to repair a damaged road in their locality. The road, which has become almost impassable, was reportedly damaged due to continuous water leakage from a Jal Shakti Public Health Engineering (PHE) pipeline.

Locals expressed their frustration over the delay in repairs, citing difficulties faced by school children, elderly residents, and commuters on a daily basis. They have appealed to the concerned authorities to take swift action to restore the road to prevent further inconvenience.

Speaking on the matter, the Assistant Engineer (AE) of Town PHE Kulgam said, "We are aware of the issue and the leakage has been identified. Necessary repair work will be initiated, and the problem is expected to be resolved in the coming few days."
