Residents of Bathipora village in Kulgam district have raised serious concerns over the poor condition of the road leading to the Government Middle School Bathipora. Appealing directly to Cabinet Minister Sakina Itoo and Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, the locals have demanded urgent macadamization of the road to ensure safe access for school children.

According to the residents, the dilapidated road has become a daily challenge for students, especially during the rainy season. The uneven surface, potholes, and muddy patchesb make it difficult for children to walk to school, often resulting in injuries and delays.

“Our children are the worst sufferers. Every day they have to walk through broken patches and slippery paths. It's a shame that a road leading to a government school is in such a state,” said one local resident.

The villagers have appealed to the administration to prioritize the repair and blacktopping of the road without further delay. They expressed hope that Minister Sakina Itoo and the DC Kulgam will take immediate action to ensure the welfare of school-going children in the area.
