Kund (Kulgam), August 6: In the wake of a tragic incident in Kund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, where two nomads lost their lives and one sustained injuries after a tree fell on their tent due to gusty winds, MLA Devsar Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah visited the affected site early Tuesday morning.
Expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Peerzada Feroz said, “Our government is committed to fulfilling the promises made with the nomadic community. In this tough time, the National Conference (NC) government stands with the victim’s family and will provide every possible support.”
The MLA further assured that financial assistance will be provided to the affected family from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to help them in this moment of distress.
He also appreciated the prompt response of the district administration and Kulgam Police for their timely intervention in shifting the injured person to the hospital and evacuating the bodies.
“I commend the efforts of the district administration and Kulgam Police for their swift action, which reflects their dedication in serving the people even in remote areas,” he added.
The visit of the MLA brought a sense of relief to the nomadic community residing in the region, as they continue to grapple with the tragedy.
