Kulgam, July 5:Mohammad Abass Rather, the District Development Council (DDC) Member from Qaimoh-B, on Saturday inaugurated the long-awaited macadamization work of interior roads in the village of Brazloo Jagir, marking a significant milestone in local infrastructure development.
The event was met with enthusiasm by villagers, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to M.Y. Tarigami, MLA from Kulgam, for fulfilling their longstanding demand for better road connectivity. Locals described the initiative as a transformative step for the village, which had long remained neglected in terms of infrastructure.
“This is the first time our village roads are being macadamized,” said a resident. “After the delimitation exercise, we were merged into the Kulgam constituency, and we hoped that the development we had seen in other parts of Kulgam would extend here as well. Today, we see the beginning of that promise being fulfilled.”
Villagers hailed MLA Tarigami’s consistent commitment to grassroots development and his swift response to public demands. They also praised DDC Member Mohd Abass Rather for persistently voicing the concerns of the village on various platforms and playing a crucial role in turning promises into action.
The macadamization work is expected to significantly improve connectivity and ease daily commutes for the locals, enhancing overall quality of life in the area.
