Jammu, July 30 — A delegation of Movement Kalki met with the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Mr. Kavinder Gupta, today at Circuit House, Guest House. The delegation was led by Mrs. Antoo Kotwal, Board Member of Movement Kalki.
The delegation comprised Mr. Deepak Singh, Founder of Movement Kalki, Mr. Pritam Sharma, Advisor, Mr. Karnail Chand, General Secretary, Mr. Anil Arora, In-charge of Environment, Board Member Mrs. Sapna Hindu, Mrs. Anuradha Yogi, Mrs. Sushma Sharma, Mr. Joginder Dogra, and Mr. Sanjeev Dubey.
The delegation apprised the Lieutenant Governor that Movement Kalki has been continuously struggling for the past 10 months to secure the declaration of the cow as ‘Rashtramata’ (National Mother) and the establishment of a Sanatan Board. They emphasized that this movement is now taking the shape of a public uprising, as people across the country are recognizing the significance of these demands and are uniting in their call for the government to fulfill them.
Lieutenant Governor Mr. Kavinder Gupta attentively listened to the delegation’s concerns and assured them that he would raise these demands at the appropriate level. He stated, "Governments cannot work on such issues until the public gives them the form of a mass movement. When people unite and strongly raise their demands, governments then seriously deliberate and take action."
Movement Kalki assured the Lieutenant Governor that this struggle will continue with full dedication and public support until the demands are met.
