Taking pride in the achievements of Operation Sindoor; and fully aware of the fact that terrorism within Jammu and Kashmir cannot be eradicated without eliminating its Overground Support Structures.
Overground Support Structures cannot be eliminated without examining the role of political parties operating in Jammu and Kashmir as bona fide political formations while practising a politics which is halfway separatist and committed to promoting Muslim communal interests.
Since this issue involves a wide range of political and strategic issues, we urge the Modi Government to start the process by a comprehensive analysis of the alliance of BJP with the regional political party Peoples Democratic Alliance (PDP).
The Agenda of Alliance which became the basis of PDP-BJP rule in J&K was based on many formulations which were essentially subversive and had the potential of mainstreaming Muslim separatism in a big way.
Who was responsible for giving assent to the subversive Agenda of Alliance that led to PDP-BJP rule in J&K?
What has been the role of Agenda of Alliance in entrenching overground supporters of terrorist separatism into mainstream politics?
How could BJP ignore the role of the founder of PDP in the communal assault on Kashmiri Pandits in 1986 and agree to share power with him? How could BJP agree to Mufti Mohd Sayed becoming the Home Minister of India?
How could Muslim demographic invasion explode into Jammu during PDP-BJP alliance ?
What led to the collapse of the PDP- BJP alliance leading to Governor’s rule ?
BJP government in New Delhi can no longer ignore the reality that parties like PDP were spearheading the campaign of Denial of Hindu Genocide and describing the relief given to the most distressed internally displaced Hindus of Kashmir as an incentive not to return?
It is critical to understand the role played by some political parties in the recently concluded parliamentary and assembly elections in promoting separatist and pro-Pak agenda.
What was the nature of the electoral political agenda of Political parties like PDP ? What was the nature of its election campaign?
The Modi Government cannot ignore the reality that electoral campaigns in J&K were allowed to cross the boundaries of the Constitution and relapse into anti-India campaigns?
Again in this case examining the electoral campaign of PDP will form a best case study.
The assessment should however not remain confined only to PDP. It should cover all parties.
Since the BJP government has claimed to eradicate overground support structures of separatism and terrorism we urge the Government of India to identify the subversive spaces within the mainstream political system and destroy them.
We also appeal to the Government of India not to treat internally displaced Hindus of Kashmir as experimental birds or animals to create an illusion of secularism and normalcy? Such an act will tantamount to abetting genocide.
