KULGAM, JUNE 26:In a decisive move to uphold civic discipline and public hygiene, the District Administration Kulgam has issued a circular mandating the immediate removal of public nuisances and ensuring orderly conduct in public areas. The circular, released by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, highlights increasing concerns over unauthorized construction material, garbage heaps, cow dung deposits, illegal encroachments, and the use of loudspeakers without permission.
To address these issues, the circular outlines key directives, including the immediate removal of obstructions from public pathways, regular monitoring by field staff such as Patwaris and Panchayat officials, and a strict ban on unauthorized encroachments on public land. It also warns of strict action against defaulters under relevant laws and emphasizes the role of the community in maintaining cleanliness and public order.
All Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, BDOs, and officials of R&B, PMGSY, and NH444 have been instructed to ensure effective implementation of these directives. The District Information Officer has been asked to give wide publicity to the circular through electronic and print media.
