Residential House Gutted in Fire Mishap at Matalhama, Kulgam

Kulgam, May 15: A residential house was completely gutted in a fire mishap that broke out on Thursday in the Matalhama area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

According to local sources, flames erupted from the house under mysterious circumstances and rapidly spread, engulfing the entire structure. Residents of the area rushed to the scene and made desperate attempts to control the blaze using available means.

Teams from the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) have been alerted and are on their way to the site to bring the fire under control.

While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, no casualties have been reported so far.
