Kulgam, May 19: In the aftermath of strong gusty winds that swept through several areas of Kulgam late last night, the Revenue Department sprang into action to assess the impact on nomadic settlements across the district.
Under the directions of Tehsildar Kulgam, a field team led by Naib Tehsildar Nasir Ahmad Mantto conducted visits to various locations inhabited by nomadic families. The assessment aimed to ensure the safety and well-being of the seasonal residents and to identify any potential damage caused by the windstorm.
Speaking to the media during the visit, Naib Tehsildar Mantto confirmed that all families are safe and no damage to life or property has been reported. “We conducted a thorough inspection and interacted with the affected population. Thankfully, no casualties or losses have occurred,” he stated.
