Held at Town Hall Pulwama, organized by Save Youth Save Future Foundation under its initiative Taleem Haq Hai Hamara

Pulwama, May 17, 2025:

In a powerful effort to counter misinformation and empower the younger generation, Save Youth Save Future Foundation, under its flagship initiative Taleem Haq Hai Hamara, organized a thought-provoking event titled “Sach Ka Safar – Youth Against Fake Narratives” at Town Hall Pulwama.

The event witnessed the presence of over 100 enthusiastic youth participants from various educational institutions, gathered to explore the influence of fake news, cybercrime, and digital radicalization on society.

SSP Pulwama, Ms. PD Nitya, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In an interactive Q&A session with the students, she shared valuable insights on the power and perils of social media, encouraging young minds to become responsible digital citizens. Her address emphasized the importance of staying informed and vigilant in an age of information overload.

The program began with a welcome address by Ms. Anika Nazir, President of Taleem Haq Hai Hamara, who stressed the urgent need to address cyberbullying and cybercrime. She urged youth to report online abuse and use digital platforms wisely for constructive purposes.

Mr. Shabir Ahmed, District Coordinator of Save Youth Save Future Foundation, discussed how social media is often misused to manipulate perceptions and mislead young minds. He encouraged participants to adopt critical thinking and digital awareness as shields against radical and fake narratives.

Mr. Shahid-ul-Islam, a promising young activist, delivered a passionate talk on the role of youth in promoting truth and building a society free from the shackles of disinformation.

Adding to the discourse, Mr. Shabnam Fayaz shared insights on the impact of fake news on public opinion and social harmony, urging attendees to verify information before sharing it.

The event was smoothly coordinated by Mr. Jasib Shabir, District Coordinator (Pulwama), who also delivered the vote of thanks, expressing deep gratitude to all the speakers, guests, volunteers, and participants for their active involvement and commitment.

The event was hosted by Ms. Awaleen Javed, who ensured the program remained engaging and impactful throughout.

This initiative is part of Save Youth Save Future Foundation’s broader mission to equip Kashmir’s youth with knowledge, confidence, and resilience to combat online threats and misinformation, while promoting values of truth, peace, and unity.
