KULGAM, JUNE 4: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s forthcoming visit to Jammu & Kashmir, the security apparatus has been significantly intensified across Kulgam district to ensure a peaceful and incident-free environment.
Following the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal (IPS), and under the close supervision of DySP Headquarters Kulgam, Nisar Ahmad and SHO Kulgam Neeraj Badiyal elaborate security measures have been put in place throughout the district.
Checkpoints have been established at key locations, and random frisking operations are being conducted. Additional personnel have been deployed, and security patrolling has been enhanced in sensitive and vulnerable areas.
Officials said that these proactive measures are aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens and visiting dignitaries during the high-profile visit.
The police have also urged the public to cooperate during security checks and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police unit.
