Sopore Police Crack Down on Public Gambling; Four Arrested in Doabgah

Sopore, June 09, 2025:

Acting on specific input, Sopore Police raided a public place at Doabgah Rafiabad and apprehended four individuals involved in illegal gambling.

The arrested persons have been identified as:

 1. Ghulam Hassan Ganie, S/O Mohammad Sultan

 2. Firdous Ahmad Dar, S/O Mohammad Ramzan

 3. Mushtaq Ahmad Malla, S/O Abdul Aziz

 4. Mohammad Amer Mir, S/O Mohammad Abdullah

—all residents of Doabgah Rafiabad.

Stake money of ₹13,120 and playing cards were recovered from the spot. A case under relevant provisions of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore, and investigation is in progress.
