SSP Kupwara Visits Shelling-Affected Areas in Karnah Tangdhar LOC

Kupwara, May 8, 2025 — 

Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara, Shri Ghulam Jeelani Wani, accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) and other senior officers, today conducted an extensive visit to Karnah Tangdhar sector to assess the situation in areas recently affected by shelling from across the border.

During the visit, the SSP took stock of the ground realities, interacted with the local population, and assured them of the police department's commitment to their safety and well-being. He also reviewed the security arrangements in the border areas and instructed the concerned officers to remain vigilant and responsive to any emerging situation.

The SSP reiterated that the Jammu & Kashmir Police stands firmly with the residents of border areas and will continue to extend all possible support to maintain peace and order.

The visit reflects the department’s proactive approach in addressing the concerns of people living in sensitive regions and ensuring preparedness to deal with any challenges arising from cross-border hostilities.
