Kulgam – May 22, 2025:Students of Government Middle School in Bhatipora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district staged a protest on Thursday against the transfer of their mathematics teacher. The students, joined by some parents, raised slogans demanding the immediate reversal of the transfer order.
The protesting students said that the math teacher was highly effective and played a key role in improving their understanding of the subject. “His teaching methods are very helpful. We want him to stay,” said a student.
The demonstration drew the attention of local authorities. When contacted, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Noorabad, Bashir ul Hassan, said, “We have received information about the issue and will look into the matter.”
Parents and community members have urged the administration to reconsider the transfer, citing the academic welfare of the students.
