Kulgam, July 10: In a determined push to bolster party presence and mobilize support for key political goals, a crucial meeting of the Congress Party was chaired on Thursday by Surinder Singh Channi—Member AICC, Vice President JKPCC, and District Coordinator—during his one-day visit to Kulgam district.

The meeting, held under the leadership of District Congress Committee Kulgam head Abdul Rashid Lone, witnessed the participation of senior party leaders, grassroots workers, and representatives of frontal organizations. Ex-MLA Devsar, Mohammad Amin Bhat, was also in attendance.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to strengthen the Congress Party at the grassroots level and to intensify the campaign for the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Channi underscored the need for unity and stronger coordination among party cadres. He emphasized the importance of reconnecting with the public to reflect their aspirations and challenges more effectively.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilization and a unified call for the restoration of democratic rights and full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
