Srinagar, Aug 11: Two police officers lost their lives and another was injured in a road accident on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the Lasjan area of the city on Monday, officials said.
According to police, three sub-inspectors were travelling from Srinagar to Jammu after completing their Amarnath Yatra duty when their vehicle met with an accident at Tengan in Lasjan.
All three were rushed to a nearby hospital, where two officers — identified as Sachin Verma and Shubham — were declared brought dead. The injured officer, Mastan Singh, is undergoing treatment, officials added.
