Qazigund, June 12:
An urgent and highly productive meeting was held today at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Qazigund between the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kulgam and the All Traders Association of Qazigund to discuss the long-overdue development and upgradation of the healthcare facility.
During the meeting, the CMO addressed several long-standing demands of the Traders Association and approved them on the spot. The decisions taken mark a significant milestone in enhancing healthcare services for the local population. Among the sanctioned upgrades are the installation of a new inverter to ensure uninterrupted power supply, the provision of a Biochemistry Analyser to improve diagnostic capabilities, and the addition of a CBC (Complete Blood Count) machine. To improve patient comfort, ceiling fans will be installed in the general wards. Furthermore, dedicated technicians will now be deployed to provide round-the-clock X-ray and ECG services, ensuring 24×7 availability throughout the week.
The Traders Association expressed heartfelt gratitude to the CMO Kulgam for his swift response and commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in the area. Speaking on the occasion, the General Secretary of the All Traders Association, Qazigund, said, "We deeply appreciate the swift and effective response from the CMO. These upgrades will greatly benefit the community and reflect a much-needed focus on public health in Qazigund."
The community remains hopeful for continued support and cooperation in further strengthening the healthcare services at PHC Qazigund.
