Woman Dies After Tree Falls Amid Gusty Winds in Tral

May 27: A woman tragically lost her life after a tree fell on her during sudden gusty winds in the Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday evening.

Officials said the deceased has been identified as Saleema, a resident of Tral. The incident occurred when strong winds, accompanied by heavy rainfall, swept through the region, leading to the tree collapse.

Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation into the matter is underway.

It is pertinent to mention that several parts of Jammu and Kashmir have been experiencing gusty winds and heavy rains over the past few hours, raising concerns about weather-related hazards across the region.
