Kulgam: As part of the ongoing “Sundays on Cycle” initiative aimed at promoting fitness, environmental awareness, and community engagement, the Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Department Kulgam successfully organized a vibrant cycling event today. The main rally was held along the route from Sports Stadium Thokerpora to Government Girls Middle School Qaimoh, drawing enthusiastic participation from cyclists of all age groups, including students, local residents, and cycling enthusiasts.
The event encouraged a healthy and active lifestyle while also emphasizing the importance of sustainable transportation within the region. The spirit of the Cycle Fit India initiative echoed throughout the district, with several zones actively participating in parallel rallies.
In Zone H.C. Gam, more than 30 boys, girls, and staff members joined a spirited rally, promoting fitness, sustainability, and community unity. Zone Kulgam also contributed to the campaign, with over 25 participants cycling with zeal and energy. In Zone D.H. Pora, over 25 boys and staff members participated with great enthusiasm, reinforcing the message of well-being and eco-consciousness. Similarly, Zone Devsar hosted a lively rally involving more than 30 boys, girls, and staff members, celebrating the ideals of youth empowerment and active living.
The district-wide participation made the event a grand success and a true celebration of community, health, and the environment. As the YSS Kulgam continues to champion such initiatives, the message is clear: let’s keep the wheels of good health and youth energy moving forward.
