Kulgam, June 6: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, the District Youth Services and Sports Office Kulgam on Friday organized a pledge ceremony and rally aimed at promoting a drug-free society and encouraging healthy lifestyles among the youth.
The event featured a series of sports activities, followed by the administration of an anti-drug pledge, in which scores of participants vowed to stay away from drugs and commit to spreading awareness in their communities.
The initiative, held under the banner of Nasha Mukht Abhiyan, is focused on fostering physical well-being and informed decision-making among young individuals. The rally also highlighted the importance of sports and physical activity in cultivating discipline and a positive mindset.
Speaking on the occasion, Youth Services and Sports Officer Kulgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Pampori, urged the youth to lead by example and reject drug abuse in all forms. He emphasized the role of sports in building character and resilience, and called on the participants to contribute to building a healthier and more aware society.
The event received enthusiastic participation and was seen as a significant step toward community-driven efforts in the fight against drug addiction.
