KULGAM, JUNE 25:

As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, a mega awareness-cum-saturation camp was held today at Kutamarg, attracting massive public participation from the local tribal communities.

The camp was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan (IAS), who highlighted the objective of the fortnight-long campaign, launched on June 15, aimed at achieving saturation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) in tribal villages across the district.

Addressing the gathering, DC Kulgam stressed the importance of inclusive development and directed all line departments to ensure 100% coverage of eligible beneficiaries. He asserted that no eligible person should be left out, reinforcing the administration's commitment to equitable service delivery.

The DC also urged residents to proactively come forward and enroll in various centrally sponsored welfare and livelihood schemes, which are instrumental in uplifting their socio-economic standards.

The event also featured addresses by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Riyaz Ahmad Shah, and Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Bilal Ahmad Kamgar. Both officials briefed the audience on the benefits and processes of availing various government schemes.

Multiple departments had set up informative and facilitation stalls at the venue, offering on-the-spot registration and demonstrations of services. The DC personally inspected these stalls, reviewed the service delivery mechanisms, and interacted with the staff to ensure smooth operations.

Participants were sensitized on a wide array of schemes, with many enrolling on the spot under flagship programmes tailored to support education, housing, employment, and financial inclusion.

To celebrate the cultural spirit of the campaign, students from PM Shri Middle School, Kutamarg, presented traditional and cultural performances, adding color and vibrancy to the outreach event.

The DC also held an interactive grievance redressal session, where he listened to public concerns and issued on-the-spot directions to concerned officers for immediate resolution of issues.

The camp marked yet another impactful step under the Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, reflecting the district administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and tribal empowerment.
