*Rajwar, Kupwara | June 9, 2025:*

A growing crisis looms over government higher secondary schools across Rajwar as key teaching positions remain vacant, leaving hundreds of students particularly from medical and arts streams without subject lecturers.

Despite the recent transfer of lecturers from Government Higher Secondary Schools (GHSS) Zachaldara and Behnipora nearly two weeks ago, the Education Department has failed to appoint replacements. As a result, core subjects such as *Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and English* are being left untaught, severely impacting students’ academic continuity and exam preparation.

*Adv. Mir Imran* has raised the issue publicly and written to the *Deputy Commissioner Kupwara*, urging immediate posting of lecturers in these institutions. “Students of Rajwar are being pushed into uncertainty at a crucial academic juncture. Education must not fall victim to administrative negligence,” he said.

Students, especially those preparing for various competitive exams have expressed deep concern over the situation. Many parents have also appealed to the district authorities, warning that such lapses could permanently damage students' academic prospects.

Adv. Mir Imran called on the *Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara* and *Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK)* to treat the matter with urgency. “Every day lost is a step away from opportunity for these students. We demand that lecturers for both the medical and arts streams be posted without further delay,” he added.

The residents of Rajwar now await prompt action from the administration to ensure their children’s right to quality education is safeguarded.
