Hon’ble Minister Sakeena Masood Distributes Prosthetic Aids to Differently-Abled in D.H. Pora, Kulgam

Kulgam, May 24:In a significant welfare initiative, Hon’ble Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare Departments, Sakeena Masood, today distributed prosthetic aids and assistive devices among physically disabled persons at an event held in D.H. Pora, Kulgam. The distribution drive was facilitated by the Social Welfare Department, Kulgam.

The Minister was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kulgam, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Block Development Officer (BDO), Director Rehabilitation, and District Social Welfare Officer. The event underscored the government’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities through inclusive and accessible welfare schemes.

While addressing the media, Minister Sakeena Masood responded to a question regarding the recent death of a youth at Paras Hospital, Srinagar. The bereaved family has alleged medical negligence as the cause. In response, the Minister stated, “We will thoroughly examine the cause of death, and once the facts are established, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the findings.”

The event concluded with a renewed commitment from the administration to continue such initiatives for the upliftment and welfare of all marginalized sections of society.
