Kulgam Police Seized 01 Tipper, 01 Dumper, and 02 Tractors and Arrested 04 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.

*May 27* : In continuation of its ongoing drive against illegal mining, Kulgam police have intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities in the district and have seized 04 vehicles used in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police party headed by SHO police station Kulgam seized four vehicles involved in the commission of said crime and arrests their drivers.
Accordingly, cases vide FIR NO. 52 & 53/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kulgam and further investigation is going on in both the cases.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood, so that timely action against the culprits will be taken.
